250 g butter or marg
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 cups self-raising flour
1 cup plain flour
few drops of vanilla
Method:
Cream butter and sugar until pale
Add eggs and vanilla
Mix in flour - 1/2 cup at a time - do not overmix or biscuits will toughen
Spoon walnut sized balls of dough onto greased tray
Bake on tray at 180 degrees for approx 20 minutes
Variations:
Jam Drops - make indentation in uncooked biscuit and place 1/4 teaspoon of jam in middle
Corn Flakes - roll uncooked biscuit in corn flakes
Choc Chip - add 250 g choc chips to mix
